There Are No Blue or Black Roses!!!

Get the Point?? Let me shout this again so you will hear it: THERE ARE NO BLUE OR BLACK ROSES!

As much as many would like it to be otherwise, the sad truth of the matter is that at present time, there are no blue or black roses. This could possibly change in the future with gene splicing, but as it stands now, it ain't happenin'.

The first rose pictured here is Shocking Blue', unfortunately purplish pink is as blue as roses get. The second rose picture is 'Ink Spots', one of several red roses that can turn a little bit black with lots of sun exposure.
There is however a lot of spoofing of the fact that there are no blue roses.

Here for example is Die Bluen Rosen a great page developed by Hr. Dr. Prof. Hans Schpecklebutt explaining the great recent discoveries involving the blue rose.
The blue rose is about as real as the above site.

People of the Gothic persuasion are always looking for the black rose. Well there ain't one. BUT they can be satisfied by roses of the color of pale sickly skin. Their favorite rose is Lagerfeld aka Starlight. There are several other roses of this pale mauve color.
